Background and industry experience
Head of the Infrastructure Management and Maintenance Department, Richard's key role is Managing Director of the LSBUD service, which includes its growth, management and development.The service is a joint venture with an Australian service provider, PelicanCorp, which falls under the Infrastructure Services Division. It involves looking after over 100 members' assets against over 3.4 million enquiries per annum.
Richard has been working in Infrastructure Services since 2010, with experience gained in matters ranging from pipeline management, major projects and contract management.
Having studied at the Rural Agricultural University, Richard moved to the business in 2007, initially qualifying (for RICS and CAAV examinations) in the Rural Consultancy sector.
He lives in North West Leicestershire with his wife and two young daughters. He enjoys most aspects of rural pursuits and sport generally, including golf, rugby and football.

What has been your favourite project and why?
Managing the LSBUD business. Whilst it is a relatively small business, it is very effective and wide reaching; what we do helps over 14,000 people every working day to work safely and efficiently and I find that really rewarding.
Top pastime?
Being the driver for my kids' pastimes and playing golf when time allows.
Best holiday destination?
Sardinia
One item to take to a desert island?
A penknife- I might finally use the saw bit.
