Background and industry experience

Matthew head's up the National Country Agency Team (NCAT) focusing on the sale of high quality Country houses, Farms and Estates across multiple counties across the country. He is responsible for generating and coordinating the sale of high quality individual properties. This involves producing marketing initiatives and strategies to promote the properties and Fisher German as a leading village residential and rural property agent.

With over 17 years of professional experience as a qualified chartered surveyor and valuer he has built a reputation for giving exceptional advice to his clients especially in advising on complex country sales. Following a degree in Land Management from Harper Adams University College he worked for another national firm of surveyors, before moving to Fisher German shortly afterwards. During his time at Fisher German he has been involved in all aspects of rural professional work and has most recently lead the south central agency team across the Banbury, Thame and Bedford offices for a number of years but is now focused on the high end property market.

He is an RICS qualified Rural Surveyor and Fellow of the CAAV.

Matthew lives in a small village close to Banbury and is married to Kate, who is a Practice Manager at a large veterinary practice. He has two sons who take up much of his free time, however he also enjoys all sports, especially cricket, rugby and football.

Why did you join Fisher German?
I was approached by Fisher German to undertake a more challenging and interesting role than the one I was undertaking.

What has been your favourite project and why?
Successfully selling a 325 acre Oxfordshire farm that had been in the same family for many years. It required dedicated client management and they were delighted with the final outcome.

Amazon

Top pastime?
Playing golf, although I wish I was better at it!

Best holiday destination?
Anywhere that's warm with great food, wine and company. Barcelona is a favourite.

One item to take to a desert island?
A Swiss army knife.

Who would you like to be stranded in a lift with?
My wife of course!
