Background and industry experience

Jonathan is a chartered surveyor having qualified in 1995 and heads up the northern business rates team. He has extensive experience in successfully contending rating assessments dating back to the 1990 Rating List. In addition to the bulk class (office, industrial and retail) sectors, Jonathan has specialist knowledge of the leisure sector, especially holiday caravan parks, and institutional properties such as schools and hospitals.

He is well versed in all the relevant legislation and case law and has represented clients at Valuation Tribunal when required.

Jonathan lives on the Welsh/Cheshire border with his wife, daughter and menagerie of animals. He enjoys playing golf, cricket, skiing and watching/encouraging his daughter in her equestrian pursuits.
