Background and industry experience

John qualified as a Chartered Planner in November 2023. He has five years experience working within development management in a range of sectors, both in the public and private sectors. Most recently, John works within the Infrastructure team at Fisher German working on a variety of water, waste and power infrastructure projects.

In John's last role, he worked primarily with renewable energy projects taking these from site appraisal stage to gaining planning permission.

John lives in Nottingham and in his spare time, loves doing anything outdoors, preferably with a dog.

Why did you join Fisher German?
I was drawn in by the reputation FG has and the ability you have here to work on a huge range of projects.

What has been your favourite project and why?
Not one project, but I particularly enjoy the more challenging projects, requiring more liaison and work with other technical bodies and public sector colleagues.

Most admired, non-property brand?
Jaguar (Because of the F-Type)

Top pastime?
Getting outdoors and somewhere high up with a great view.

Best holiday destination?
So far, Mexico... Sun, sea and tacos...

One item to take to a desert island?
A boat...If that's not allowed, a dog.

Who would you like to be stranded in a lift with?
A lift engineer.

Favourite film?
Hard to pick one, but Django springs to mind.
