Background and industry experience

David is Head of the Regional Commercial Transactional Team, based in Manchester.

David has over 20 years of experience in the Manchester city centre and regional markets and typically focuses on the office sector. He provides owners and occupiers with agency and consultancy advice, taking a strategic approach to business space, ensuring it meets the need of clients' financial, operational and cultural goals.

David has a wealth of experience helping clients to achieve their business space objectives and provides technical advice on lease expiries, the acquisition of alternative accommodation or the disposal of surplus space, break clause opportunities and lease surrenders.

Outside of work, David enjoys spending time outdoors in the mountains walking and skiing, cycling and watching rugby.

Through merger with Matthews & Goodman

What has been your favourite project and why?
The relocation of Kin+Carta's Manchester office during the pandemic. Technically challenging at a time of great uncertainty but a client that was focused and determined to ensure their staff had an engaging and purposeful workplace environment. The project fulfilled the early narrative of 'less space but better quality'.

Most admired, non-property brand?
Although I'm not often wearing Nike, the story of Phil Knight (Shoe Dog) and creation of Nike is an admirable and inspiring story.

Top pastime?
A weekend away watching the Six Nations with old school friends.

Best holiday destination?
West coast of Scotland

One item to take to a desert island?
Comfy sun lounger

Who would you like to be stranded in a lift with?
The lift maintenance person

Favourite film?
I made a film to celebrate my parents Golden Wedding Anniversary - it took 12 months to edit and digitise old photographs, wedding albums, old 8mm cine film and vhs tapes. The film captures their early lives together, through to becoming grandparents. We
