The National Grid LRRF Awards 2024, held at the Think Tank Birmingham Science Museum on 26 September, was a day of informative presentations, panel discussions, networking with National Grid and fellow framework suppliers. It was also a celebration for outstanding achievements in the field. Our infrastructure team was honoured with multiple accolades, highlighting their exceptional contributions on some of National Grid’s key projects.

One of our senior surveyors, Will Davies, who is based at our Banbury office, was nominated for the prestigious ‘Rising Star’ award which he received a Highly commended. His pivotal role as the primary point of contact for landowners and the project team on a key project showcased his dedication and exceptional communication skills.

Louise Burford, Senior Project Coordinator at our Bury St. Edmunds office, was nominated in the ‘Make it Happen - Project over £1 million’ category. Her pioneering attitude and integral role in coordinating project delivery, coupled with her positive working attitude, were key factors in her recognition as highly commended in this category.

Graduate Surveyor, Nick Robinson secured the ‘Best Stakeholder Engagement’ award for his work on the Norwich to Tilbury project. His dedication to consulting and engaging with affected landowners ensured the successful development of the proposals, earning him commendation in the ‘Find a Better Way’ category as well.

Arran Dixon, who is a valued external supplier to FG achieved an award for his delivery in the “Best Overall Support” category.

Matthew Hodgetts, Head of Infrastructure Consultancy, expressed his pride in the team’s achievements, he said: “Our success at the National Grid NPPF Awards 2024 is a testament to the hard work, dedication, and innovative spirit of our team. Each award reflects our commitment to excellence and our ability to deliver outstanding results.

“The day was a true celebration of our team’s talent and dedication, setting a high standard for future projects and inspiring continued excellence in our field.”
