The shores of Dorney Lake near Windsor came alive recently, as real estate professionals from across the industry gathered for the recent 17th annual JLL Property Triathlon.
With the iconic rowing lake as the backdrop, the very same one that witnessed the 2012 Olympic Games, participants went headfirst into a day of fierce competition.
Eight of our colleagues took on the individual triathlon challenge. Among them, Hannah Young won an impressive third place in her category.
Harriet Cooper, Flo Gilman, and Maisy Mosely formed a powerful trio, securing an overall fourth place in the women’s triathlon.
Other stand-out performances came from Rob Parry who came ninth out of 46, completing the triathlon in a commendable 1 hour and 25 minutes, Will Bostock who came eleventh out of 116, with a lightning-fast time of 1 hour and 17 minutes and Nigel Fishwick who came thirty-fifth out of 95, clocking in at 1 hour and 23 minutes.
Other colleagues who took part were Ellie Whistlecroft, James Evans, Karl Broadhead, Jack Tyler, Lily Whitehead, Lydia Matthews, Susan Wedderburn, Nick Robinson, Katherine Lewis, Toby Risebrow and Sophie Ward.
Lily Whitehead, a graduate surveyor working in our valuations team based at our London office, said: “We have been training for months and there was such an amazing team spirit on the day, not only in the relay but across all of the events.
“I would 100% recommend taking part in the event to anyone in the company no matter their triathlon ability as it was so much fun, and I will without a doubt be entering next year!”
Graduate Surveyor, Rob Parry who works in our valuations team in our London office said: “It is a well-organised event and was great training for the Ironman 70.3 Swansea event I am taking part in on 14 July. It’s also a great opportunity to meet with other colleagues within the business and network with other property firms.”
Beyond the medals and personal bests, the JLL Property Triathlon serves a higher purpose. Last year, it raised an astounding £194,000 for its charity partner, WWF.
