William also trained as a Broadcast Journalist at the University of Central England, which led to five years presenting the news at BBC and independent radio stations across the East Midlands. He returned home to Leicestershire from London fifteen years ago and established his own property management business.

About me

What year did you start your job?
2016

Why did you join Fisher German?
Initially, I felt that the FG Agency brand was strong yet with huge potential for growth within the sector. That said, relationships with colleagues are for me the cornerstone of a successful and happy working environment and after meeting and striking up really a good rapport with the team here, the decision to join became a question of when rather than if.

What has been your favourite project and why?
The sale of a beautiful old farmhouse in Rutland which had been a happy family home for many decades but with the children grown and gone it was time for a new family to write the next chapter. There was huge interest in the property including from second home owners and weekenders but the eventual buyers have filled the house with children, dogs and cats and while retaining the old home's charm and character have also brought it beautifully and sympathetically up to date in a way that I believe the previous occupant would also love. It's been a perfect example of matching the right family with the right property to the benefit of both!
