Background and industry experience

Alasdair heads up the Residential and Rural Department for Fisher German and ensures that the best possible service is delivered to all of our clients across the geographical areas in which we operate. Alasdair is also part of the National Country Agency Team who specialise in the sale and acquisition of prime residential property, as well as agricultural property, equestrian property and estates.

Alasdair focuses the majority of his client work in a broad geographic area across the Midlands, from Rutland, Leicestershire and Nottinghamshire and into Derbyshire, Staffordshire and Cheshire. He regularly handles complex property disposals and acquisitions for clients for properties offered for sale on the open market and for sale privately.

Alasdair began his agency career in prime central London in the mid-1990s before moving to the Midlands in 2004, where he has consistently worked at the top end of the market, representing Strutt & Parker and Knight Frank before joining Fisher German as a Partner in 2010.

It's rare to find an organisation where such a diverse range of talented professionals meet in such a compatible format. At Fisher German we constantly ask if we are the best at what we do, and whatever the answer, we always strive to do it better. It's that ethos of professionalism and determination that appeals to me.

Most admired, non-property brand?
Volvo. I drive a Volvo, it's incredibly safe, utterly reliable and traditional, but takes advantage of the very latest technology

Top pastime?
I do a lot of DIY and gardening

Best holiday destination?
J'aime le sud de la France!

One item to take to a desert island?
A fishing rod

Who would you like to be stranded in a lift with?
A helpful escapologist, but I would probably take the stairs
