Our second podcast series of ‘Fisher German Talks’, was launched on 30 September. Since the launch of the first podcast series in February, there have been over 40,000 downloads across 12 episodes.
The first series with eight episodes, covered subjects including regenerative farming, delivering net zero and the importance of good communication for National Significant Infrastructure Projects (NSIPs). There were over 7,600 downloads for this episode alone in which Partner, Rachel Bridge, was joined by guest speaker Tim Read from Camargue.
In the second series, listeners will learn about the latest planning legislations and updates, hear top tips for graduates looking at a career in surveying as well as finding out more about rural diversification; where to start, how to fund a project and looking at different ways to diversify.
Matthew Allen and Richard Gadd from our National Country Agency Team (NCAT), focused on the rural property market and examined the current market, looking at the challenges we face and what we need to do to overcome them.
Other episodes have seen Rachel Bridge, who is also Deputy National Chair of the Pipeline Industries Guild (PIG) and Helen Boyle from Cadent discuss the major Hynet hydrogen pipeline project in the North West. This will be the first 100 per cent hydrogen pipeline network to support achieving the UK’s net zero by 2050 target.
In episode four recent graduate, Jack Dutton and Associate, Olivia Yates join Ruth Ofield, Head of Graduate Recruitment, to discuss their career paths and how applicants can stand out from the crowd when applying for their first job in the surveying industry. Ruth, Jack and Olivia take an in-depth look at the opportunities for graduates both at Fisher German, and also in the wider surveying industry. They offer some top tips on breaking into and making it in the industry and provide listeners with a clear understanding of why surveying is such an exciting career path whilst detailing what applicants might expect from a surveying career.
Marketing Manager, Laura-Jane Taylor said: “The download statistics are impressive, and I hope that anyone listening has found them informative and insightful. We are looking to launch a third series in early 2023 giving us more opportunities to help both internal colleagues and our diverse range of clients understand the current issues being faced by the property industry.”
