Fisher German has announced a new policy which will give colleagues the opportunity to take advantage of hybrid working, spending 60 per cent of their time in the office and 40 per cent working remotely.
The aim is to help colleagues maintain a positive approach to balancing work and home commitments and follows a number of surveys, workshops and focus groups held with colleagues over the past 18 months, with feedback highlighting that the majority of colleagues would like to have the option to work from home up to two days per week.
The new policy further demonstrates our business leaders’ dedication to prioritising health and wellbeing and ties in with two of our core values – pioneer and trust.
Throughout our history we have continually invested in technology, which not only resulted in a smooth transition when colleagues moved to home working as a result of the pandemic, but will enable them to continue successfully working remotely going forwards.
Managing Partner, Andrew Bridge, said: “Fisher German has always led the way when it comes to the wellbeing of our colleagues, and after the disruption of the last 18 months we wanted to hear what matters most to them. We’ve proved that we have the tools in place to enable effective home working, but our colleagues also miss the social and collaborative nature of the office environment. There will always be a place for physical office spaces in our line of work, but offering colleagues more flexibility is a no brainer if we want to attract and retain the best talent. We trust our people to design their working week around their client commitments and team activities, utilising the spaces where they feel most productive on any given day.”
