A leading property agency has made a senior appointment to lead the firm’s agribusiness consultancy and management team. David Kinnersley has been appointed head of agribusiness at Fisher German to lead and grow the team across the firm’s regions.
David, an associate director who joined the firm in 2008, is from a farming background, graduating from Reading University with a degree in Agriculture before gaining a Masters in Business Administration in 2003. He specialises in agribusiness consultancy, subsidy and grant schemes and farm management as well as Anaerobic Digestion (AD) within the sustainable energy sector.
David said: “The firm has grown considerably since I joined in 2008 and we have ambitious expansion plans for the future. I will be responsible for leading the agribusiness consultancy and farm management service across all of the firm’s regions, growing and strengthening the team, while still being very much involved with my existing client base.
Business consultancy is going to be more important than ever, with the sector set to experience unprecedented change due to Brexit and the new Agriculture Bill, and we will be helping our clients and their farm businesses through this. It is also a very exciting time in agriculture in terms of the use of new technology and sustainable production which we’re very focused on to help make our farming clients more profitable, and I’m looking forward to playing a part in this.”
David Merton, head of rural at Fisher German, said: “David has a vast amount of experience in the agricultural sector and extensive knowledge of the firm. He is in an excellent position to lead the farm consultancy and management team as it continues to develop for the benefit of our clients.”
