In June we were proud to sponsor ‘Shenfest’ which is the Shenington and Alkerton Music and Literature Festival. The event was a huge success and around 500 people enjoyed the weekend which raised £4,500 for good causes including Banbury Young Homeless Project (BYHP).
BYHP offer a range of specialist interventions including support, advice and guidance to young people aged between 13 and 25 years old. These services include mental health support including counselling and other one-to-one interventions, coaching and mentoring to help young people stay in education or be work-ready, homelessness support, a foodbank as well as a confidential mediation service.
As part of our ‘Building Communities’ initiative, a scheme created to promote links in local communities, we will donate £600* from our sales commission fee towards BYHP for each completed house sale on which we are instructed within the villages of Shenington and Alkerton throughout 2022/2023.
Toby Harris, a property expert in our residential team, said: “We are hoping that anyone considering selling their property in Shenington or Alkerton will approach us so that we can further support such a worthwhile local charity who provide much-needed support to the younger members of the community.”
