Background and industry experience

Tom’s role as Head of Auctions at FG Auctions is to coordinate the sale of property by online auction across the national office base of Fisher German working with colleagues across all the residential, rural, commercial and corporate sectors. The online auction platform is ideally suited to a variety of property types where the need for transparency and certainty in the sale process is a key priority.

Tom joined Fisher German in 2014 and has a background in residential agency. Most recently he worked in the Banbury office selling quality cottages and houses across North Oxfordshire, South Northamptonshire and South Warwickshire. Tom combined his agency role with being the national lead on auctions and, due to the rapid growth and successes in the auction sector, Tom has stepped forward to lead this side of the business.

Tom’s first career was in classical music where he was part of the management team of a regional chamber orchestra, but took up his career as an estate agent in London in 1989. Having worked for Chestertons and Strutt & Parker, selling homes in Kensington and Mayfair, Tom relocated to Warwickshire in 2001 to work for Knight Frank and subsequently opened an office for Savills in Stratford upon Avon. Outside work, Tom enjoys singing in The Bach Choir in London performing in venues including the Royal Albert Hall and Festival Hall. He lives in Leamington Spa with his wife and three boys.
