Background and industry experience

Phil is a Member of the LLP and head of the Northern Valuation Team.
He specialises in undertaking instructions on a wide variety of residential and commercial valuations, for lending, pension, strategic advice and expert witness purposes. This also includes dealing with land assembly strategies, compulsory purchase advice, strategic property advice, development advice, appraisals and demand assessments. He also has experience in dealing with lease advisory and landlord and tenant matters.

He has experience in providing advice for a variety of purposes including loan security, accounting, public sector, and Charities Act purposes together with specialist advice including S18, Planning Viability, Compulsory Purchase and Expert Witness.

Outside of work Phil has a young family, enjoys taking part in the local parkrun and playing guitar.

What has been your favourite project and why?
Probably, the Project Jennifer scheme which involved the creation of a new district centre in a deprived area of north Liverpool. It was beset with a variety of issues, over 300 land interests, the economic recession of 2008, a rival scheme from a food retailer, complex business relocations... it had it all! However despite this it was delivered and some of the opposing side have become established clients.
