Women in property news 01 01

Four colleagues from our commercial property management team recently participated in the Women in Property “Step into Summer 2024” walking challenge. Led by Partner Kerry Whitehill, who is based at our central Birmingham office, the team included Senior Surveyor Michelle Knowles, Lucy O’Hare, and Associate Maxine Clarke, all from our Worcester office.

The challenge spanned two weeks, during which the team laced up their walking shoes to raise funds and awareness for two important causes: Women in Sport and Smart Works. These charities empower women, promote physical activity, and provide support for professional development.

Out of all the West Midlands teams, our team secured an outstanding 2nd place. Their collective effort propelled them to an overall ranking of 20th out of 87 teams nationwide.

Michelle said: “When I am not out on site, I often find myself desk bound. Participating in this challenge allowed me to embrace the outdoors and contribute to two worthy causes. Our Birmingham and Worcester offices rallied together, highlighting exceptional teamwork beyond office walls. Completing the Worcester Park Run was exhilarating, and I look forward to next year’s challenge.”

Lucy added: “Our team thrives on camaraderie, and this challenge provided an opportunity to bond outside the office. The Worcester Park Run was a highlight, and I plan to carry on taking part in it now that the challenge has ended. Knowing that our steps supported worthy causes made it even more rewarding.”

Kerry Whitehill said: “The walking challenge was a fantastic experience for all of us. Securing 2nd place among West Midlands teams is a testament to our dedication. Kudos to the entire team! We eagerly anticipate next year’s challenge, ready to step up once again.”
