With a take-up of 203,385 sq ft in Q1 2024, the central Birmingham office market has seen a strong start to the year. This is 30% higher than the same quarter in 2023. It is 11% above the 10-year Q1 average.
The largest transaction in Q1 2024 saw the BBC take 84,000 sq ft at Typhoo Wharf in Digbeth, further showcasing the regeneration of the Eastside area.
Another notable transaction recorded is University College Birmingham taking 44,670 sq ft at Baskerville House for administrative office space use underlining the recent strong performance of the education sector.
