The Team & Focus of the Role
We have a very exciting opportunity to join a newly formed centralised Land Referencing team within Fisher Germans growing Infrastructure Services Division.
Fisher German have been providing land referencing services for projects large and small for over 20 years and are now looking for motivated and enthusiastic individuals to join our new standalone team of Land Referencers. The team will be working on major projects alongside other smaller land referencing projects with a unified approach and working practice applied to all.
The team use bespoke tools and systems to deliver Land Referencing to the highest level to our clients, while maintaining a trusting relationship with landowners. Working closely with the Project Delivery and GIS teams, our Land Referencing team is key to the consistent and proven delivery of diligent Land Referencing to support DCO’s/CPOs or TWAOS.
This is a permanent, full-time position (Mon-Fri), based in our Stafford office within our hybrid working policy. There will also be regular travel to our office in Ashby as part of the role, and the potential to work from our Birmingham office.

Duties will include:
- Accurate recording of land referencing information in our ownership database.
- Application of land referencing methodologies and processes to support project delivery.
- Preparing and packaging mail merges with corresponding plans and Land Interest Questionnaires.
- Contact referencing to include site visits alongside noticing of land.
- Data management to include interpretation and analysis of all data associated with land and related reporting
- Reviewing complex title documents to identify minor interests in land
- Contributing to the preparation of the book of reference
The successful candidate will have...
Essential
- Degree in geography, land surveying or similar discipline which relates to land.
- Proven experience within land referencing working on major projects going towards DCO/CPO/TWAOs
- Able to manage multiple projects at once.
- Strong communication skills and able to communicate with both internal clients and external clients and landowners
- Driving license
Desirable
- Experience using Mobile data collection tools
- Knowledge of GIS systems and understanding of databases
