The Team & Focus of the Role

We’re looking for a Financial Planning & Analysis Manager who is an expert in what they do to join the Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Team based in our Head Office.
The core purpose of this role is to lead a team of Management Accountants at various levels and to provide support to our Head of Financial Planning & Analysis. This is a full-time, permanent role and will be based at our Head Office in Ashby-de-la-Zouch. We also operate a Hybrid Working Policy.

Duties will include:
- Management and development of 3 team members, with a potential for future team growth.
- Ensure the team operates efficiently and delivers work to a high standard, in a highly dynamic environment.
- Oversee production of the month and year-end management accounts.
- Oversee the annual budget process.
- Direct involvement in the monthly forecasting process and 5-year business planning.
- Oversee implementation of the finance dashboards in PowerBI.
- Ownership of financial reporting and FP&A processes in the ERP system.
- Direct involvement in implementation and development of the financial planning software Vena.
- Review and improve the FP&A processes – month-end, budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting and analysis.
- Involvement in various projects and initiatives, i.e. mergers and acquisitions.
- Ad hoc reports and tasks as required.
The successful candidate will have...
- CIMA or ACCA qualified.
- People management experience is essential.
- Ability to manage large workloads effectively and efficiently is essential.
- Proven track record in overseeing financial processes.
- Financial modelling experience is desirable.
- The ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders at various levels across the business.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, specifically pivot tables, formulas, v-, h-, x-lookups, sumproduct, sumifs, etc.
- Be comfortable manipulating a large volume of data.
