Our agency team have supported Sytchampton Primary School in Worcester to get a step closer to generating the five-figure funds needed to build new classrooms for the next generation of pupils with a donation of £1,850.
The funds were raised through our ‘Building Communities’ initiative, which has seen our Worcester office donate a proportion of its commission from every house sale in 2022 in the local area directly to the school, the first in Worcestershire to benefit from the scheme.
The school has now raised £30,000 of a £65,000 fundraising target, which is the figure the school will need to contribute towards the replacement of two temporary classrooms with permanent learning facilities for pupils in years 3 to 6.
Amanda Richards, Headteacher of Sytchampton Endowed Primary School, said: “We are incredibly grateful for the donation from Fisher German. Over the past two years, we have been working hard to raise funds to contribute 10 per cent towards the replacement of our portacabin classrooms which amounts to over £65,000. This donation will have a significant impact on our fundraising and will hopefully help us to secure some permanent, purpose-built learning spaces for our pupils."
The latest donation comes off the back of a range of fundraising activities from school staff, pupils and parents, which has seen pupils sponsored for challenges such as the Santa Dash, and putting on cake sales.
We have been expanding its ‘Building Communities’ scheme, which is supporting a range of schools, clubs and community groups that are local to their offices across the UK.
Joanne McElevey, who has been leading the scheme at Fisher German’s Worcester office, added: “It has been a pleasure to be involved with Sytchampton Endowed Primary School and contribute to a key project within our community that will benefit future generations. Our ‘Building Communities’ scheme is a fantastic way of giving back to the communities in which we work and making a tangible difference to local schools and clubs. The school has raised a fantastic amount of money so far, and we wish them the best of luck with the project.”
